Mohammedia – The fourth edition of Maghrebna Innovation – Vision 2030 was held today in Kenitra, as young Moroccan innovators from across the country gathered to showcase digital projects that combine technology, creativity, and cultural identity, and Initiated by Dialna Maroc with Ibn Tofail University.
Participants from Agadir, Rabat, Kenitra, Casablanca, Marrakech, and other regions of the country presented concepts that integrated technology with Moroccan culture and expressed a strong commitment to their territories, heritage, and innovation-oriented approach.
Their initiatives included virtual museums, cultural platforms, immersive tourism experiences, and digital applications to promote the participation of the community and local development.
Other activities like smart applications, podcasts, 3D animations, videocasts, and digital platforms facilitated connecting the youth talents to the job market and the startup cultural world.
The project is a reaction to the country’s national interest in reinforcing youth and associating innovation and culture with sustainable development, in support of the Maghrebna Innovation Challenge Charter that invited participants to design solutions promoting heritage, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
“The greatness of a nation lies in how it values its cultural, historical, architectural, and human heritage,” said Salma Bensaïd, president of Dialna Maroc and Maghrebna Innovation.
She also added that by providing the youth with technology and soft skills, Morocco is giving them the tools to express themselves and engage in the country’s transformation.
This vision, she added, also seeks to maintain collective memory while establishing a value chain among sectors and territories, reinforcing a “Moroccan data” ecosystem driven by local realities and values, and motivating upcoming talents to innovate, transform, and create progress together.
This year’s edition was centered on how digital technology and smart tools can empower the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI), enrich local territories, and foster cultural tourism, heritage conservation, and creative entrepreneurship.
The convention also placed a significant emphasis on creating a “Moroccan data” environment—locally produced content derived from digital sources that can make Morocco stronger in its positioning and sovereignty in the global digital economy.
A step ahead for creative entrepreneurship
Among the year’s other recommendations was the introduction of the first Maghrebna Innovation Training Class 2025-2026. The program will provide selected winners with professional guidance to transform their ideas into successful ventures.
Organized by the Bureau of Experts within Maghrebna Innovation, training spans a wide range of skills—from teaming and resource planning, marketing, and project management to leadership, storytelling, and communication, and formalization of business plans.
With a goal to equip young innovators with practical skills, branding, and mentorship, it supports the development of their projects into successful businesses.
Seven awards were handed out at today’s event for outstanding work in areas including virtual reality, digital media, podcasting, immersive travel, and cultural storytelling.
Official categories included Best Virtual Reality, Best Podcast, Best Digital Application, Best Immersive Travel, Maroc Virtuel – Travel and New Technologies, Inspiration & Sustainability, and Culture Inspiration.
The Coup de Cœur award went to Le Maroc que j’aime, a tribute to Moroccan diversity and richness of culture, and a Perseverance Prize was also presented to the youngest contestant for a narrative capsule inspired from an ancestral Moroccan cultural symbol.
Since its inception in 2021, Maghrebna Innovation has been a national incubator for entrepreneurship, technology, and creativity. Every year, it finances projects that consolidate Morocco’s cultural identity and enhance innovation and sustainable growth.
The project falls under Morocco’s Vision 2030, a project that seeks to create a knowledge economy as well as develop the nation’s creative and cultural industries.
The fifth edition of Maghrebna Innovation occurs in January 2026 and will include new subjects, longer training modules, and more project support.
The interactive modules will continue to support projects from concept to realization, stimulating innovative entrepreneurship and allowing Moroccan youth to increase their presence across regions and value chains.
