Marrakech – Renault Group Morocco produced 394,474 vehicles across its Tangier and Casablanca facilities in 2025, representing a 5% decline from 2024’s figures but showing 3% growth compared to 2023. The Tangier plant manufactured 299,395 units while the Casablanca SOMACA facility produced 95,079 vehicles.
The company exported 82% of total production, equivalent to 327,552 vehicles, to 63 international markets. The Tangier facility exported 95% of its output, totaling 282,498 units, while Casablanca exported 47% of production at 45,054 vehicles. Primary export destinations included France, Spain, Italy, Germany, and China.
Morocco now serves as Renault Group’s second-largest production country by volume and ranks as the eighth-largest market globally for sales. The country’s facilities produce approximately one in six vehicles sold worldwide by the automaker.
Domestically, Renault Group Morocco sold 88,937 vehicles across both Renault and Dacia brands, capturing 37.8% market share with 31.4% growth compared to 2024.
Dacia maintained its position as Morocco’s top-selling automotive brand for the sixteenth consecutive year, recording 47,887 vehicle sales with 20.3% growth. The Dacia Logan became the best-selling model in Morocco with 18,282 units sold. Sandero ranked first in its European segment while Duster led the SUV category domestically.
The Renault brand sold 41,050 units, marking 44.8% annual growth and capturing 17.4% market share. It gained 1.4 percentage points in market share compared to 2024. Three Renault models secured positions in Morocco’s top-ten vehicle sales rankings.
Six Renault Group models appeared in Morocco’s top-seven best-selling vehicles list, with three occupying the leading positions. These rankings indicate the competitiveness of locally manufactured vehicles under the “Made in Morocco” designation.
The Dacia Sandero, produced in Morocco, ranked as Europe’s best-selling passenger vehicle for the second consecutive year across all sales channels. The model has led the European market since 2017.

Renault Group Morocco announced plans to launch Renault Technology Morocco, a research and development center located in Tetouan and within the Tangier facility. The engineering hub will employ Moroccan engineers and technicians to support vehicle development for domestic and international markets.
The company targets 80% local sourcing by 2030 compared to the current 65.5% rate excluding mechanical components. Local sourcing revenue reached MAD 23.9 billion ($2.39 billion) in 2024, with targets to achieve MAD 30 billion ($3 billion) by 2030.
Training programs delivered over 150,000 hours through 60 centers at IFMIA facilities, involving more than 6,000 participants during 2025. The Renault Foundation Morocco supported over 23,000 beneficiaries through social responsibility programs.
Mobilize Financial Services processed over 29,000 financing contracts and 50,000 service agreements, achieving nearly 33% market intervention rates. The subsidiary plans digital transformation and new mobility solutions development throughout 2026.
The company operates with an installed production capacity exceeding 500,000 vehicles annually across its Moroccan facilities. Production output averaged 1,686 vehicles daily during 2025.
Future product plans include renewed Dacia Sandero, Logan and Jogger models, with hybrid Sandero versions scheduled for European markets in the fourth quarter of 2026. New electrified vehicle ranges based on updated platforms are planned by 2030.
