Tunis—Morocco secured a 2–1 win over Paraguay in an international friendly on Tuesday in Lens, marking a positive second outing under head coach Mohamed Ouahbi.
After opening his tenure with a 1–1 draw against Ecuador, Ouahbi saw further encouraging signs as Morocco produced a strong second-half display to take control of the game.
The breakthrough came just after the restart, when Bilal El Khannouss opened the scoring in the 49th minute following a pass from Achraf Hakimi.
Hakimi turned provider again minutes later, assisting Neil El Aynaoui for Morocco’s second goal around the 54th minute, as the Atlas Lions took firm control.
Paraguay pulled one back late through Gustavo Caballero in the 88th minute, but it proved to be too little, too late.
Morocco held on to secure the win at Stade Bollaert-Delelis, ending the international window with a draw and a victory, an encouraging start under Ouahbi as preparations for the 2026 World Cup continue.
