Rabat – Morocco’s Public Prosecution Office and the Deposit and Management Fund (CDG) signed a cooperation and partnership agreement on Friday to digitize notifications related to notaries as part of the country’s broader digital transformation efforts.
Prosecutor General at the Court of Cassation and Head of the Public Prosecution, Hicham Balaoui, and CDG Director General Khalid Safir signed the agreement in Rabat.
According to a joint press release, the partnership aims to create a framework for cooperation and coordination between the two institutions. It focuses on digitizing the exchange of notifications required under the implementing decree of Article 33 of Law No. 32.09 governing the notary profession.
Under the protocol, the Public Prosecution Office and CDG will exchange digital data and notifications related to cases of non-compliance identified during withdrawal operations carried out by notaries, in line with the country’s legal and regulatory provisions.
The two institutions said the agreement reflects their shared commitment to using modern digital tools to support Morocco’s digital transformation agenda.
They added that the initiative is expected to improve the efficiency of administrative procedures, facilitate the exchange of information, and strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest while ensuring compliance with the applicable legal framework.
The agreement comes as Morocco continues to expand the digitalization of public services under its Digital Morocco 2030 strategy, launched in 2024. The roadmap aims to modernize public administration, simplify administrative procedures, improve access to government services, and strengthen interoperability between public institutions.
The strategy also seeks to move Morocco into the world’s top 50 countries in the UN’s E-Government Development Index by 2030 through wider adoption of digital technologies across the public sector.
