Rabat – Early on Monday, Moroccan National Security personnel foiled an attempt to smuggle one ton and 430 kilograms of Chira, according to a report from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The operation was executed in coordination with the customs services in the Tangier Med port.

The port’s judicial police team opened an investigation to uncover all the connections to international drug smuggling networks, as well as to put under arrest all accomplices involved
Morocco’s National Judicial Police have recently been derailing drug trafficking operations involving large amounts of illicit products.
On September 27, Morocco’s National Judicial Police Brigade (BNPJ), working in tandem with the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST), detained several people who were collectively in possession of over seven tonnes of cannabis resin in the Mohammedia and El Jadida suburbs.
The suspects were arrested for their alleged connections to global drug trafficking networks, and police seized two speedboats, five boats, three engines, and 107 fuel canisters in addition to the drugs.
