Rabat – While King Mohammed VI was expected to pay a two-day working visit to Conakry, Guinea this Tuesday, the royal visit was postponed to January 2018.
Last week, several Guinean and Moroccan media reported that the King will pay a visit to the West African country on Tuesday, December 19. However, his trip to Conakry is confirmed to take place in January 2018, reported Moroccan daily Media 24.
No information about the King’s visit was revealed by Morocco’s news agency, Maghreb Arab Press.
The King’s visit will see the inauguration of a completely renovated landing point of artisanal fisheries and a multiskilled vocational training center. During his visit, the monarch will also launch development of several arteries in Kaloum, a city in the Conakry region of Guinea.
This will be the King’s second visit to Conakry after that of February. During his first trip to Guinea, several agreements and conventions were signed in many fields, including agricultural, social and cultural sectors. The visit formed part of an African tour made by the King that started from February 1. The King visited the Republic of South Sudan and then continued into Ghana, Zambia, Guinea, and Cote d’Ivoire.
