Rabat – Manchester United’s pursuit of Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat continues to make headlines, with reports suggesting that the player could be acquired for a fee ranging from €35 to €40 million.
The 26-year-old caught the attention of football fans worldwide during the 2022 World Cup, where he played a crucial role in Morocco’s impressive run to the semi-finals in Qatar.
Amrabat’s performances on the international stage further solidified his growing reputation as a solid, reliable presence in the midfield. His time in Serie A with Fiorentina over the past three seasons has seen him consistently impress.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is believed to be interested in bolstering the team’s midfield options, and the Moroccan player has emerged as a target for the Red Devils.
Despite initial reports suggesting that terms had been agreed upon, influential figures at Fiorentina have denied the existence of any formal agreement.
The reliable transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano recently disclosed to CaughtOffside the potential cost of acquiring Amrabat.
The deal, estimated to be worth around £34 million ($43 million), would make the Moroccan midfielder an enticing addition to Manchester United’s roster.
Romano emphasized Amrabat’s exceptional skills, particularly demonstrated during his performances for Morocco at the World Cup in Qatar.

While Barcelona had previously expressed interest in signing Amrabat and had a loan offer turned down in January, they are now focused on pursuing Oriol Romeu, who is said to present a more cost-effective alternative.
