Rabat – Hot weather is expected to persist in Morocco’s southern provinces, with relatively warmer temperatures expected in the central areas on Sunday.
According to a weather update from the General Directorate of Meteorology, fog formations are likely to develop in the eastern regions and in the northwest of the southern regions.
However, aside from these areas, the weather is expected to range from partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy in the eastern region, while remaining clear to partly cloudy in other parts of the kingdom.
In addition, scattered dust or sand is anticipated in the south, southeast, and eastern regions.
In terms of wind activity, strong gusts are expected over Tangier, the western regions, the Saiss region, the eastern region, and the southern areas, including the High Atlas Mountains.
Regarding temperatures, minimum temperatures will vary between 05 and 11 degrees in the Atlas Mountains, the Rif, and the eastern region.
In the Souss region and the southern areas, temperatures are forecasted to range between 17 and 23 degrees, while the remaining parts of the kingdom will experience temperatures between 11 and 18 degrees.
During the daytime, temperatures are expected to slightly decrease in the southern regions, while experiencing a slight rise in the central areas.
On the coastal front, the Mediterranean Sea will experience calm to slight waves, while the Strait of Gibraltar and the Atlantic coast will see slight to moderate wave activity.
