Marrakech – Huawei announced the launch of its groundbreaking Xinghe Intelligent Network product at the Huawei Network Summit 2024 (HNS 2024) on the sidelines of the first day of GITEX Africa 2024.
Held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Marrakech, the summit brought together 350 attendees, including IP customers, partners, and Northern African media outlets.
The summit commenced with an inspiring opening speech by Yang Chaobin, Chairman of the Investment Review Board and President of ICT Products and Solutions at Huawei.
Chaobin emphasized the vast opportunities intelligence brings, laying the foundation for a smarter, more connected world.
Following this, Colin Hu, President of the Northern Africa Enterprise & Cloud Department, made remarks, discussing the collaborative efforts required to build a digitally intelligent Africa.
The spotlight of the event was the launch of Huawei’s Xinghe Intelligent Network product. Leon Wang, President of Huawei Data Communication Product Line, presented to the audience the innovations, highlighting how this network accelerates industrial intelligence.
The launch marks a significant milestone in Huawei’s mission to enhance data communication and connectivity.
In a detailed presentation, Wang showcased the innovation achievements and new solutions embedded in the Xinghe Intelligent Network.
The segment, which was a presentation of insights into the future of data communication technologies, also featured Hu and Shi, as well as Vincent Liu, Senior Partner Manager at Huawei.
Following this was a session titled “Intelligent Connectivity,” which featured Edward Au, Chief Editor of IEEE 802.11be (Wi-Fi 7), who introduced the latest trends and key innovations in Wi-Fi 7 technology.
This segment also included practical case studies from industry leaders, such as AWB Bank in Morocco and CBE Bank of Ethiopia, who demonstrated the transformative potential of Wi-Fi 7 in campus networks.
A notable highlight was the Imagine Wi-Fi 7 campaign launch, which saw participation from various industry organizations and Huawei’s Campus Network Product Domain leaders. This campaign aims to showcase the innovative applications of Wi-Fi 7 technology.
Security was another critical focus, with discussions led by experts from Huawei’s research centers. Topics included the security features of the Xinghe Intelligent Network and the release of a new security white paper by Mike Ma, President of Huawei’s Security Product Domain.
These insights underscored the importance of safeguarding enterprises in an increasingly connected world.
The “Intelligent Computing” session delved into high-performance, lossless Ethernet networks and their role in building AI-powered data centers.
Industry experts shared their experiences, emphasizing the critical need for robust data center networks.
Additionally, COOP Bank in Ethiopia and BCP Bank in Morocco provided compelling case studies on ultra-resilient data center networks.
Following this was the “Intelligent Industries” segment, which covered IPv6 enhanced converged bearer networks, and insights into differentiated industry experiences.
Dhruv Dhody, Huawei’s chief IPv6 expert and IETF IAB member, alongside other industry leaders, highlighted the latest developments in WAN technologies and their practical applications.
The summit concluded with the “Build the Future Together” session, celebrating the launch of the IP Club Explorer Program and recognizing elite members for their contributions.
This session reinforced the spirit of collaboration and innovation that defines Huawei’s approach to technology and customer engagement.
At Huawei’s Marrakech at the summit, the Chinese tech giant not only launched the Xinghe Intelligent Network product but also reaffirmed its commitment to leading the future of data communication with cutting-edge solutions and collaborative initiatives.
