Rabat– Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech has attracted offers from several European clubs following his announcement he intends to leave Turkish side Galatasaray during the upcoming winter transfer window.
According to Turkish media reports on December 19, Stade Rennais has officially approached Ziyech’s agent, expressing interest in securing the player’s services. Additionally, speculation suggests Ziyech could move to the Greek League to join Olympiacos or Panathinaikos, return to his former club Ajax Amsterdam, or explore opportunities with French or Portuguese sides, including Benfica.
Ziyech’s time at Galatasaray has been marked by challenges, as the player has struggled for game time and form. He has managed only 87 minutes across six appearances without scoring or providing an assist, leading to strained relations with the club. The Moroccan star’s absence from Walid Regragui’s recent Atlas Lions training camps has further highlighted his difficult period, both at the club and international levels.
The situation took a dramatic turn when Turkish journalist Haluk Yurekli shared details of a candid conversation with Ziyech during a chance encounter on a flight. When asked about his limited appearances, Ziyech reportedly said, “Galatasaray is over for me. I do not want to play. I will leave in January.”
Adding fuel to the speculation, Ziyech deleted all Galatasaray-related posts from his Instagram account in September, signaling his dissatisfaction with his role at the club.
As the January transfer window approaches, several clubs across Europe appear to be lining up to offer Ziyech a fresh start, with fans and analysts eagerly anticipating his next move.
